Wardrobe Casual (Dresser) - June 2016
During the tour of Priscilla I worked as a dresser backstage at the Princess Theatre as part of ATG tickets. My role entailed working closely with the head of wardrobe and team of dressers to ensure the cast were dressed correctly and on time. Priscilla was a fantastic show to work on with such a wide variety of creative and extravagant costumes. There were several quick changes and it was a very demanding show to work on, in terms of the costumes and dressing. I had to ensure I was always thinking ahead to ensure the costumes were on the correct side of the stage at the right time and I was there to assist the actors in dressing quickly and correctly. It was a great experience and opportunity to work backstage, dressing and working with the cast of a west end show.

Other duties included assisting with costume stock repairs and alterations, costume maintenance and laundering and replenishing costume stock.

Safety First Manufacturing Ltd
Departmental Manager - September 2013 to April 2015
I successfully completed a Level 3 Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship with Safety First Manufacturing Ltd as an apprentice on the factory floor. My role entailed assisting with all areas of cut, make and trim in the factory.
As my apprenticeship evolved I was rapidly given more responsibility and further took on a role within the office. As I had endured the initial training within the factory, I was well prepared for my role as departmental manager. This was a great opportunity for me as it taught me how to successfully run a department and a team of professionals, in order to meet tight deadlines.
Costume Department - July 2013
I undertook an internship in the costume department at the Theatre Royal taking on responsibility in sourcing and maintaining costumes for two productions; Our Space by the Edge and The Young Company production. During my work experience I attended fittings, made alterations to garments and implemented costume techniques. I also shadowed the costume departmental manager in watching the dress rehearsal to ensure all costumes complemented the production lighting and settings.
Costume Assistant - January 2015 to Present
In my spare time I volunteer at an amateur dramatics group sourcing and making costumes for their costume pantomines and productions as their costume assistant.
